Wow, these jigsaw puzzles are harder than they look. It takes Mom weeks to finish a 500-piece puzzle, and I can’t even get started on a one-piece puzzle.
Is a puzzlement, Alice Shortcake.

Fuzzy pants!
Yes, those pantaloons – and the tummy!
Have a look at the grown-up Barnaby on Instagram – his ear fluff has to be seen to be believed!
Whoa, you weren’t kidding! He could fly with that.
I like how he was going to get it from underneath, like THRU the chair haha!
Yes, that was adorable!!
My kitty does something similar with a treat dispenser box I have – she can actually get her head inside one of the holes now, (it’s cardboard) and then she’ll lift the box up with her head and feel under the box for the treats that are inside the box.
I laugh every time.
So cute! Is this a kitten working out how to cat?
So focused on reaching with front legs (soo close!) he forgot he could use back legs to jump up.
Ps Barnaby is a great name, reminds me of the tv show Dark Shadows.
Cracks me up when cats try and try to climb. That’s when I say, “You’re allowed to jump, you know.” (Which is when they remind me that nobody likes a sarcastic human.)
Yes, Barnaby is a great name for a cat. We had one named Barnabus–one of the best cats ever.
Ugh the difficulties of trying to do a puzzle with a cat in the house! After several pieces mysteriously disappear or end up with kitty tooth marks, I’ve almost given up puzzles entirely. Anyone have helpful tips for puzzling with cats?
Cat free room? I usually have to keep my kitty out of the bedroom when I put the clean sheets on, because everything is a game to her, and she will excitedly reach out from under the bed while I’m putting the fitted sheet on. Claws extended. She’s ripped my fingers and my sheets!
So now she is not allowed in the bedroom during that time.
But really, they make a puzzle keeper. You essentially do the puzzle on this mat, and then roll it up when you want to put it away. The pieces stick to the felt.
Well, it depends on how serious you want to get about it. It’s easy enough to shoo cats away with a spritz from a water bottle. Or you could keep the vacuum handy, so you could just flick it on as needed. But I’m a softy–I just let the cats get in the way then gripe about how annoying they are. It’s a co-dependent sort of thing.
There’s an app for that! ? With three cats in the house, we finally gave up on real jigsaw puzzles and went the virtual route.
Belly floof exposure! Ded.
The fluff is too much.
