Mussa the chimpanzee hops a plane to his new home
Rescued from poachers in the Democratic Republic of Congo, an orphan chimpanzee named Mussa needed a plane ride to his new home at Lwiro Primate Rehabilitation Center. After evaluating him, the pilot decided Mussa would be more comfortable in the cockpit than a cage, and so the pair shared an special adventure in the sky.

I guess the baby chimpanzee sees the family resemblance. Happy to be cuddled by humans.
So sweet!
So much love all around!
If I wasn’t already married and old enough to be his mother, I would make a pass at that sweet guy…
… and the man is not bad either! ?
Hee, Hee!!!!! what sweetness – I love that he was grooming the baby.
Amazing that the baby was so calm throughout the trip. So glad he’s safe and grateful to people like the pilot who show so much care and love.
Sooo many tears watching this! Baby shows incredible trust for the humans. I LOVE IT!
p.s. Anyone else with a keyboard made of onions?
Mine certainly is…
Oh yes.
And, awwwwwwwwwwwwww…..
Definitely
Yepper.
Aw…the hug at the end!
Grooming. Just laying back and flying along. Sigh.
One of the very dearest things I’ve ever seen.
That is the best thing I’ve seen all week. Thank you, Mike!
I keep coming back to this.
