    I had the honor to get to know salamanders one year at summer day camp. We had a wonderful nature teacher. They are quiet gentle creatures.

    I also got bit by a snake and broke my thumb on a trampoline at that camp. Tetanus shot. Cast. I don’t think I went back the next year.
