When cat hears tornado alert, it’s a tongue twister!
This was a test. This was only a test. But try telling that to Simon the cat, who pauses in mid-lick when he hears the tornado alert siren, then makes like a scaredy-cat while braver members of the household watch for signs of danger. It takes a treat and some time frantically clinging to cuddling his roommate to bring Simon back down.

If it was up to me, I would skip right to the snuggling part.
Ok. One dog, two cats, no fur or dust on floors, rug or furniture = not at my house!
I like how the tongue froze mid-lick.
Emergency blep!
Cat.exe crashed. Reboot in Safe Mode?
Bet that siren hurts the kitties earsies.
We’ve got one of those warning siren systems near where I live. But, it’s for the nuclear power plant in case there is a radiation leak. Barely audible, even when you are outside without the wind blowing.
Got KI?
Love me a siamese and this one’s adorable. someone cuddle/reassure him pronto!
Poor baby. I feel kinda guilty giggling at the mid-lick. Snuggling session was adorable!
Me too! I felt so bad for Simon but that tongue just did me in. Had a major fit of the giggles. And I love how nonchalent the other cat at the end is. Simon’s eyes are still popping out his head and he’s hanging on for dear life and the other one is like, what is your problem dude, it’s nothing. Plus the Havanese is just adorbs, standing guard at the window, ready to sound the alarm.
Oh, the poor boo-boo! I’m glad he/she has such a loving home. Good job, Havanese and Snuggle Buddy! Good job, hoomin!
Aw, poor baby. Glad he has someone to snuggle when it’s over.
Emergency blep (thank you, Smartypants) is adorable, though.
Happy to help! 😀
I too loved the emergency blep. Gorgeous kitcats, both of them–and Mom knows what Simon needs.

If you see me running during a storm .. run the other way because I’m nuts
(This PSA brought to you by me .. the Crazy Storm Chaser)
My city tests the first Monday of every month at 4:30 pm, weather permitting (they don’t set off sirens on cloudy days so as not to freak everyone out). The sirens are on all the school buildings, the hospital, and the tallest building downtown. I live 2 blocks from a school, and a block from the hospital, so we hear the sirens here. My critters never react to them at all.
