For lunch today, Maru and Hana have been served a plate of herring. Having seen Monty Python and the Holy Grail, they at first assume they must chop down the mightiest tree in the forest with them. Later they learn the herring are in fact edible, which tends to brighten the mood somewhat.
I dub thee Sir Andrew Y., Sender-inner of the Round Table.
Herring—classic weekend brunch food.
This may be the most normal behavior I’ve ever seen Maru display.
Hana’s not shy when she really wants something, is she?
Maru and Hana switched roles. M became the patient, dainty eater while H grabbed and gobbled. And, Hana’s loud meow into the microphone made me LOL!
When Mugumogu flakes it up for them…they are so spoiled! 😀
She should have marinated them in catnip!
The fish, not Maru and Hana….
You expect us to eat raw fish like animals?!
XD They deserve to be spoiled <3
Nice punnage, Mike! We had hearing tests at work this week, so I snortlaffed. In return, I submit: If you knew Sushi, like I know Sushi . . .
Mom, you can’t fool us with cardboard.
Fooled Maru! He licked the cardboard fish!
Reminds me of when my baby girl refused to eat sirloin steak until I fed it to her morsel by morsel. I can’t imagine how these critters get so spoiled! 🙂
Cooked, deboned and hand fed by their personal chef is the way Hana and Maru like their fishies.
So basically, they’ll only eat the equivalent of peeled grapes.
So Spoiled!!!
So what’s the lesson here? Teach cats to like flaked boiled herring, and now you have to boil and flake herrings for the rest of their lives 🙂
My Minkette required the food she wanted from my dinner plate cut into teeny-tiny pieces, and I had to be quick about it or she would take matters into her own paws.
