Come closer. Closer to the mirror. Who is this handsome creature who stands before you? See how he mimics your every move; is that tribute, or mocking? Examine him as you will, but do not linger — lest you become the reflection. (watch to the end, and brace yourself.)

Fuunny kitty! I have a mirror story to tell this evening, when Iām at a real keyboard.
I don’t think this video has any sound, but feel free to mentally insert the shrieking violins from “Psycho” at the end. š
Can someone explain the end to me? ?
I think someone used video editing software to alter the ending to create a “haunted mirror” effect.
The cat in the mirror moved his head while the “real” cat didn’t. A very good job of video editing.
I thought I was seeing things! Thanks for the explanation. This cat is better than Groucho Marx!

You can see the wheels turning in kitty’s head. Too bad they’re just spinning and no traction.
You beat me to it!
A rare occasion. š Great minds, and all that.
That cat reminds me of Through the Looking Glass when Alice started wondering what was in the other room besides what she could see.
First a Dobie Gillis reminder; now a Patty Duke one. How old are we all, anyway?
The Patty Duke moment was based on the Marx Bros scene in Duck Soup. Lucille Ball did a version with Harpo Marx, too.
And now I’m going to have the Patty Duke Show theme song stuck in my head for the rest of the day. Fortunately, I love that song!
Remember the version with the OPEC Oil Ministers????
Vewy, vewy old.
This is too cute and I was wondering too what the heck happened at the end. I kinda anticipated it but was thinking maybe there were two cats mimicing each other. I think the video editing explanation is the right one.
Talking about mirror stories. NEWSFLASH!! The boy kitten (Chris) discovered his reflection the other day and went into full blown Halloween cat mode. Pretty hysterical considering he doesn’t even weigh one pound yet. Love the mohawk he has going on and mom in the background like “Really kid??? I’m sooo scared.”
Aw, poor kitty! It’s just you!
Stars and Stripes didn’t have this reaction. The mirror in question was leaning against the wall so there was a little space behind it, and they went looking for the “other” kitties behind the mirror.
Stars did have this reaction to first meeting Pablo, though. She went under the bed, arched her back, raised her fur, and hissed the most ferocious 7-week-old kitten-hiss she could muster. (I don’t think Pablo actually heard it.)
Pablo was probably like
Nah, he pretty much ignored them. Until they got big enough to start trying to eat his food. š
That’s most of my great cat-and-mirror story: mirror leaning against the wall, and kitten went behind it looking for the other cat. But then he came back to the front of the mirror, revved himself up, and tried to launch himself into that other “room”! It was fantastic.
Oh, little Chris! So cute! I mean, so vewy vewy scawy!
He’s fewocious! Fewociously cute, that is.
I know! It’s like I am kitten, hear me ROAR! I haz a fierce.
Great picture!
They look exactly alike!
