People at the shelter where I adopted my cat think she may be 4 or 5. Don’t really know what type of life she had beforehand. She’s super independent.
It’s been 9 years now, but at night when she wakes up from a nap around 10, if I’m in another room, she would let out this cry that’s like “oh no’s, I am alone in this world.” I’d have to come in and reassure her “it’s ok Meimei, I will always be here to take care of you. You have no more worries in this life.”
If only us humans can have the same guarantee :p. Maybe that’s part of attraction of having them – this world may not be perfect, but in this small instance we can make someone’s life perfect.
