Not That Mike The Other Mike

Maru, it must be noted, is not the most romantic of cats. Like a grumpy old bachelor, he eschews the confining, constricting nature of relationships — after all, that’s what boxes are for. So when mommy plays matchmaker with a heart-shaped mystery box, Maru gives Hana the cold shoulder (and a right hook) before turning the box into his own cozy little man-cave.

    Suddenly having 90s grunge flashbacks…Nirvana’s “Heart Shaped Box” and of course that classic Alice in Chains song “Maru in the Box”…
