Maru and Hana jump on the ASMR bandwagon, as they go through their dinner routine with the microphone up close and personal. The result is eight minutes of munching, crunching, lip-smacking, tongue bathing Maru goodness. How’s that sound?
Sounds like a plan, Andrew Y.
I LOVE the snorting, snuffling sounds they make as they eat! And Hana closes her eyes each time she crunches down !
How I love Maru’s big, fat, fluffy head and how Hana always meows right before a meal is served! Watching Maru bath himself is so sweet and soothing.
Maru takes his time to enjoy his meal >:3
XD loud crunch crunch crunch
Of course Maru has to get his tail in Hana’s shot.
…and she does the same to him at about :20.
Love Maru and Hana but I really really really dislike ASMR.
I am with you Gigi re the dislike factor. I have a theory that we are so disconnected with phones, computers these days people are craving intimacy; and these noises, sounds etc. are incredibly ‘intimate.’ You only hear them when you are really close to someone. They fill the void if you don’t have that intimacy in your own life.
As someone with misophonia (AKA selective sound sensitivity syndrome), I’m with you, Gigi. There are exceptions — such as crinkling paper — but, generally, I too really, really dislike ASMR.
I’m one of the apparent majority of people who don’t have ASMR reactions. I don’t have synaesthesia, either. I think it’s interesting that people do, and it’s great that there’s stuff out there for them. I just figure I’m not the intended audience, and move on. Not that I don’t appreciate a little crunchy-munchy sound in cute animal videos, I just don’t get the tingly sensation or whatever it is that floats the ASMR boat. And eight minutes of it is way too long for me. Much as I love Maru and Hana, I often find the videos too long as it is. I guess my attention span isn’t what it used to be!
I don’t, either. I also watched a bit of Maru, then jumped ahead and watched a bit of Hana, then jumped to the end.
News Flash! There is a bit of something on the floor on
the left side! This should be on the front page of the
Tokyo Times, or something. First time I’ve ever seen
detritus or whatever in Mugomogu’s house. She is
human after all. What a relief to this person often
surrounded by uncute dust buns, me.
