I’m totally in love with Jake the firefighter and I’m so glad he has lots of people to love away his pain. And…. hamster butts!!!! ❤❤❤❤

Love those shots in the firetruck. He’s practically smug, he’s so proud

Saw them on Broadway together in another century, I think Nell Carter was in the cast too.

Jake’s story made me so happy! And PORCUPETTES with mohawks! And hammie butts! And gorillas! And house hippos!

The corgi’s dance reminded me of long-departed Molly Weasleycat, who used to do a happy dance to get petted.

Punk rock porcupettes! Mohawks, foot stomping…get them a couple of little guitars and they can go on the road!

(Seriously, that looks like the most adorable temper-tantrum ever.)

I love the dark gray hamster with the perfect little white polka-dot of a tail.

    Jake is the goodest boy.

Such wonderful links today. A fire dog, and gorilla selfies, and house hippos, and a tap dancing corgi. Yowza!! All I could think about with the hamster butts – I like big butts and I can not lie. Plus I had been wondering for forever how do porcupines have their babies – glad to know the quills only harden after birth and being exposed to air, cause otherwise? OUCH!

Needed the links and my dose of cute as we got news that our friend that’s been sick passed yesterday morning. Thankfully he went before the bone cancer progressed much further as he was already in a lot of pain. Hubby has to go up today to meet the brother and start planning the service and clearing out the house.

So sorry for your loss, AJ. You spent a lot of quality time with this friend while he was ill–I’m sure he appreciated it.

I’m sorry you lost a good friend. He must have gotten a lot of comfort from your many visits.

Yes AJ so sorry for your loss. These are such difficult days to get through.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. He was a good friend to us for about 20-30 years, a second dad to my husband and the man who walked me down the aisle when we got married. He’s going to be missed but just glad he’s not suffering anymore.

I’m in love with Jake and his whole department.

    Speaking of house hippos…

I’ve seen this before elsewhere… but Wow! again.

Wouldn’t want to housebreak that pet.

Jessica is living everybody’s best life. Seriously, where can I get in on that action?

Tippy Tappy is so sweet. Like a kid waiting at the counter to be served their banana split! (Okay so its me that can’t wait for the ice cream – you guys saw right through that didn’t you!?)

I just watched the baby porcupettes stomping in the hay about half a dozen times in a row. Somehow it’s even better with sound, even though they don’t really make any noise other than the rustling of the hay. It just gets better and better. I’ve been giggling the whole time.

    • Holly April 27, 2019 / 4:25 pm

The stomping on the hay must be some porcupine thing? I never knew the babies could be so adorable! Love them❤

      • allein 🐾 April 27, 2019 / 5:02 pm

I googled and what I read says it’s part of how they scare away predators. Baby porcupines are pretty independent, apparently.
