They look evenly matched to me. Any small dog that can bring down a badger has a good chance of taking on a crab, no?. Not, of course, that I want either creature to get hurt. I’m just saying it could go either way. I love the way Mike has captured doggy’s drill-sergeant expression in speech.
That expression would be quite intimidating on a bigger dog with longer legs.
Yeah, chubby-stubby legs sorta take away from the intimidation factor…

That crab appears to be shaking it’s fist at the dog in a “get off my lawn!” manner.

That’s how I’m feeling all day. It seems like everything has gone wrong today. First the repair crew was late, then someone at work had a crisis and didn’t communicate clearly what they need from my department plus the temperature jumped about 20 degrees from last week and no one was prepared. We went from a semi-nice spring with temps upper 60’s, low 70s to late summer temps of 85+ in like two days. Ick, so not ready for that. And oh yeah, some breaker got tripped and now the dryer is not drying. I’m so ready for today to be over with.

Thanks everyone,after eating dinner everything seems more manageable. The temp has dropped somewhat and I’ve got all the fans running so it’s less miserable than this afternoon. And yeah, Mondays can be like that but it looks like things are on the upswing.

Thank you N. Fritz! That was a great way to start off a day, much better than yesterday. And I’d say that’s more of a knockwurst or bratwurst than a wiener dog, lol.
I know, poor sausage dog is terribly overweight, so bad for their backs. But so happy! Really a lovely smile-making thing.
