As the sunlight breaks through the morning mist, the fearsome jungle panther stalks its prey. Step by stealthy step, he slinks over rocks and fallen trees, inching ever closer to his unsuspecting victim. Oddly, no matter how close he gets, his quarry still seems far away. This puzzles the fearsome jungle panther.

For Alice Shortcake and other theater buffs… I once saw a production of Danton’s Tod played on a stage that constantly revolved like this. The actors had to move along with it which must have been a challenge to keep front and center. But it made for a memorable evening!
There comes a point where puss pauses like “Wait a minute?” but then soldiers on.
