They say the best entrepreneurs started small and never let adversity slow them down. When life hands you lemons, open a lemonade stand, that’s what I say. And if life also hands you a professional stand with fancy signage on a prime piece of real estate and $10,000 in seed money, that helps.
That cat’s going places, Dana D.
Catnip shots! 😀
WTG Lou! That might be the classiest looking lemonade stand I’ve ever seen and you sure can’t beat the price. I might have to draw the line at “catnip shots” though. 🐱
I could really do with a cold lemonade right now. I am stuck at the auto dealership having work done, and the waiting/showroom is not air-conditioned. It’s 87° and my comfort threshold is 71°. Do you think Lou delivers?
They keep mentioning the heatwave you guys are experiencing here on the news. That’s scary and dangerous for a lot of people.
Too bad you can’t come to my office. I’m about to go make tea and break out the blanket (not kidding; I have two blankets in my file cabinet – one is a fleece blanket the company gave us a few years ago for Christmas and the other is a cape-type thing a former-coworker-friend gave me last Christmas because she knows I’m always cold here).
(Also, they finally fixed the light near my cube that’s been out for over a week. Now it’s too bright. I told the maintenance guy that we like the dark (there are plenty of other lights around) but he didn’t listen. Humph.)
That sounds miserable! I’d send you a Lou’s Lemonade if I could.
Thanks everybody. It got up to 34 degrees Celsius, which is 93 Fahrenheit. I sat in the heat for two hours. The staff kept me hydrated! The whole reason I made the appointment was a) to get summer tires put on and b) fix my air-conditioning which would only work on full blast (which was so loud and obnoxious that I’ve been driving as little as possible). I have a wind machine at home, so I can try to cool down the apartment before going to bed, but school is absolutely unbearable! The poor students…
Here in Yorkshire we’ve had days of torrential rain. It’s like March but with leaves on the trees.
How’s your dad today?
Colorado keeps going up and down, tempwise. We’ve had a lot of rain which is great for my garden.
