There is a pair of white peacocks at the park near where I work. (There’s also a regular peacock in the next pen; he used to have a girlfriend but now he’s alone*. The white ones are new this year.) They’re behind two fences (in a smaller pen inside a larger fenced enclosure) so I’ve never tried to get a picture of them, because when I’ve tried to get other pics they never come out well. They’re so gorgeous, though. There’s another white peahen who gets to roam the larger enclosure; not sure why some get to do that while others are penned. They also have a pair of turkeys (plus a couple loose ones), Silkie and other chickens, quail, and an emu. And goats and pot-bellied pigs and rabbits in hutches and lots of deer, ducks, and geese (not counting the ducks and Canada geese in the lake on the edge of the park). Sometimes both peacocks will have their tails up. I wonder if they’re trying to show each other up.
Please share pictures of your results, if that is practicable.

Side note: I just looked at the WeRateDogs calendar page for tomorrow. The patriotic pup (a tri-colored Corgi who’s all about the “red, white, and boop”) got a score of 1776 out of 10. ๐

I just placed my order for the new WeRateDogs calendar. You simply can’t beat “red, white and boop.” ๐ฝ

I especially like the occasional, mildly indignant “We only rate dogs…please don’t send in [blank]” pages (which always include a rating anyway). Like last week’s page that had a Corgi pup laying on the floor wearing a shark fin (and kinda side-eyeing the camera and looking resigned). The description said:
We. Only. Rate. Dogs. Do not send in other things, like this fluffy floor shark clearly ready to attack. Get it together guys… 12/10
Will definitely be getting this one again next year.

The insects are really cool! I actually looked at the first 3 or 4 before I realized they were also Looney Tunes characters or other images. Was focusing too much on the details to see the composite.

Cute, educational, and inspiring. Great set of links today. The black face sheepies are too fab! I loved the pic where the sun is behind one, definitely looks like an album cover for some 70s folk/metal band.

I’m totally smitten with the two goldens, Jake and Addie. How lucky they are to have each other and how lucky their hoomans are to have them both. ๐๐๐๐๐๐

There is an app called “Be My Eyes” that lets people help out blind people by using their phones camera to see for them.Dont know how legit it is but sounds like a good thing.

They are all fabulous, aren’t they? Hoomins were so careful to make the right decisions for Jake.
When we stayed at the Portmeirion Village in Wales there was a white peacock that would come peck at the glass door of our room in the morning to get tea biscuit crumbs.
The Portmeirion Village is where they filmed the old 60’s series The Prisoner, it’s an absolutely gorgeous place!! https://portmeirion.wales
I remember that show! Wasn’t there another very popular show that actor (whose name I’ve forgotten) was in before The Prisoner? I think I loved that show. Oh, my memory.
If you go to the link I posted above there are great photos, it’s a beautiful place full of flowers and if you go try to get the the room we had on top of the cliff. If I remember correctly it’s called the Light House room, There are no cars allowed in the village so it super quiet. It’s really a magnificent place and the food at the hotel was grand!

Cardinal and Phoenix resemble my beloved Fred and George Weasleycat. They’re such cuties, and so loving to their little sisters!
Doing better. Still more interested in sleeping than anything else, though she did wake up, tail wagging, ready for dinner a few minutes ago. Finished it, peed, and went right back to sleep. I’m hoping a good night’s sleep will leave her a bit perkier tomorrow, but one step at a time.

I think the sheeps are Twisted Sister reincarnated–same hair!

Haha I’m not sure they take that comparison as a praise.
Wait till they start singing “We aren’t gonna take it”

Glad I wasn’t drinking anything when I read you comment! And I do see the resemblance. Thank god they didn’t put on the garish makeup though.
They are amazing. I saw the model’s eyes, which made it even more beautiful. A few of the hikers expressed fear of he sheep – why is such a wonderful experience wasted on people who should spend all their time watching makeup tutorials on youtube.

I love the black knee spots as much as the dreadlocks. They really are lovely.

[*assuming he’s even the same bird, of course]
Will have to look at rest of links later.
The Blacknose sheep are GORGEOUS!
I love those sheepies. I discovered them a couple years ago and they’re just so darn cute. I want to meet one someday.
I have some Valais Blacknose fleece to prep and spin. They really are cutiepies. Spinoff magazine did a story about them in their last issue.
Please share pictures of your results, if that is practicable.
Will do. I still haven’t showed off my bathroom! Must get some photos to Mike, since I don’t know how to post.

Patrick McGoohan. starred in โSecret Agentโ and โDanger Manโ in the early 60โs.
Patrick McGoohan, who played “Number Six” in The Prisoner was in the series Danger Man (titled Secret Agent in the United States).

“Secret Agent”, yes! I loved that show! There was a record/hit “Secret Agent Man” I think it was called – around that time? Was that the show’s music?
Yes it was!
Thank you! I didn’t remember it had terrific guitar. I just bought it from iTunes.
GiGi! Portmeirion is on my bucket list. please tell us more!

How is Fred doing?
Much better, thanks! How is Bibi?
