We haven’t heard from the famous Fiona in a long time, which is actually great news, because it means that the once-threatened preemie is now thriving and getting almost as big as her mama Bibi. Helping her grow requires a lot of food, so the Cincinnati Zoo wanted to learn which foods were their favorites…
By placing two of their foods side-by-side and seeing which they eat first, Fiona’s caregivers were able to learn their favorites. And through this scientific method, their favorite is… food. Lots of food. More food. Food, food, food. Yep, food.
“Hard to tell mom from baby now!” notes sender-inner Lois M.
Hey Fiona! Hi! Long time no see!
Looking good you very special girl!! 💕
Uh oh, I suspect there’s a hippo somewhere in my family tree. Ya know, just the loving food part. 😁
Ha, probably most of us do, then.
So very sweet! I love that the keepers still get to pet Fiona, even though she’s big now. When Knut the polar bear got too big, his caregiver couldn’t play with him anymore.
You CAN call me a Big Mouth! 🦛🦛
I know hey! She was just so proudly showing off her big mouth! 😄😄
