You young’uns see a bear or two and think you seen something? Hah! You should’a been here for the great bear harvest of ’53. Now that was a thing to see — trees thick with bears, not like now. So many you could just shake a tree and a few of ’em would tumble down, which was a bad idea on account of that makes ’em grouchy.

What scared them so badly that they had to high-tail it up the closest tree to escape whatever was after them? I’d LOVE to know the ‘rest of the story’!!

Someone in the comments on reddit said, “It also looks like this may have been taken at Bear With Us, a sanctuary and rehabilitation center for bears in Sprucedale, Ontario.” Which explains why there are so many bears. But does not explain not why they are all in a tree.
