Challenge: Rake all the leaves. Difficulty: Pandas.
It seems like a simple enough task: Just rake some leaves into a basket. But when the leaves are in a playground full of frolicking inquisitive panda cubs, the experience could leave you a basket case. (via Cheryl S.)
Looks like a fun game! Well, for the pandas, at least.
oh gosh! 🙂 I hope they are all having fun. Is this version 2.0 of something we’ve seen before? Not complaining at all.
I’m sure we’ve seen other videos shot in this enclosure, but I think this one is new to us.
Same keeper as in earlier video so probably just a continuation of the hijinks. Wonder is this is a daily occurrence?? And I’m next in line to pay for one day of cleaning up leaves in these little imps enclosure.
And she gets paid to do this? I would pay someone to be able to rake leaves as long as I’m also allowed panda cuddles. It might take me all day to get those leaves up. Maybe two or three days even.
She’s not really raking leaves, right? There’s a sign probably on the enclosure for visitors to see listing the times during the day that you can watch “leaf raking.”
Exactly my thought- like feeding time at the zoo. If she really wanted to be efficient she’d use a shop vac.
Or, instead of filming this, that person would distract the pandas while the other lady raked leaves. It’s still adorable to watch so I’m not complaining….😊
I think it’s entertainment/enrichment for the cubs as well. They get to play and wear themselves out relatively safely. Also that woman must have impressive muscles, moving little pandas around every day! They only look fluffy, I’m sure they must weigh quite a lot.
This woman is either the Carol Burnett of China or the most put upon grounds keeper in all of the “Panda Land/Center” where this is shot. She must be exhausted when she goes home, but I’d PAY to do her job for a week.
Like herding cats, only with pandas and leaves.
Surely, if this is really a job!, it should be done while wiley pandas are asleep!? Cute to watch, exasperating to deal with!
