Doxies Meet Sheep

Far away in the country, dachshunds Loulou and Coco get to meet many animals. Once they babysat some ducklings, and that worked out so well they did it again. Today they’re off to visit some sheep. (via Murray C.)

Those are the thinest dachshunds I’ve ever seen! Most dachshunds I’ve encountered before tend to be pleasantly plump to put it politely.

Did I fast-forward too much? I didn’t see where any dachshunds actually met the sheep.

BTW, the snowflakes drifting down are kind of in the way.

According to the notes by the posters at YouTube, “Fred had kept Loulou & Coco on leash because we didn’t want the sheep to run or get scared.”

The family lives near a nature reserve in the Netherlands.

Thanks. I knew it must be somewhere in Northern Europe because of the stylish design of everything.

Long dogs are long. And shiny.

I love how they check each other’s bowls after they eat.

Yes, based on this neither of them has ever left anything behind, but just in case this is the first time, gotta check it out. I forget how fast dogs eat. We’d get indigestion if we did that.

I’m not familiar with that breed of sheep. Of course now I want to get some of their wool to spin!

Those dogs live better than most people.

Those sheep were beautiful! And their wool looked surprisingly clean.

My mind went to a strange place there thanks to multiple definitions of the word “doxie”. For the rest of today I will be thinking about a group of 18th century ladies of the town enjoying a relaxing day out in the countryside.
