Chihuahua from Hell is even cuter than the one picture I saw gives him credit for (I only saw the twitter post by HLMongoose). Is it weird that I want him? (I live in a condo but I actually wouldn’t mind if he went after a few of my neighbors’ ankles, quite frankly.)

All so cute today. Saw the wa wa story and was going to send in but forgot, glad someone did. Doggers is a challenging adoption, hope he finds the perfect fit. Juanita the armadillo is my spirit animal today. Had a rough night between a cat yowling around midnight and my possessed sound machine. I definitely need a new one. The one I have randomly switches from my setting (relaxing ocean waves) to the guided meditative program. Ever been woken from a sound sleep by a women’s voice saying let’s start the meditation?? I’m already plenty relaxed lady, I’m asleep! Then at some point it shut itself off and when turned back on, was on different sound. Very odd and not the first time it’s done that so it’s got to go. Welcome to Monday!

Baby alpaca looks like he’s got some attitude!

I saw a video on facebook yesterday of someone shearing animals (I think it said she does alpacas, llamas, sheep, and goats)…there was something very zen about it.

Off to look at pets in love. Will have to save the rest for later.

High-quality linkage this morning! Just what I needed.

Had a hellacious night of wakefulness interspersed with nightmares, now have a headache and tight jaw. Also trouble focusing. Apart from feeling like I’ve been punched in the left bicep, all of these can be explained by something other than my second jab yesterday afternoon, so who knows? Whatever it is, it can’t last forever. And it’s a grey, rainy day, so I would have been staying home anyway.

I hope this link works; it’s a video of the alpaca and its human.

I hope you get better soon!

Hope you’re back to yourself soon!

Second jab – oh yeah! I had one terrible day, and then I had a couple of weird days where I had sharp stabbing pains on my scalp and right ear lobe (!). After much discussion, including with my sister who’s a medical person, it seems the pains were a result of the very high temperature I had as part of my side effects. But immunization – immunity -YAY!

Thanks, friends! I’m holding my own so far. 🤞🏻

Hmmmm….the county site I’ve been checking has you click a button to confirm that you’re over 18 and a county resident, then takes you to two drop-down boxes for “specialty type” and “covid-19 visit type” (both of which had one option of “covid vaccine”) and a box to put in your zip code, then it took you to the appointment schedule. It worked this morning (though there was nothing available) but now the specialty drop down says “no data” and you can’t click the visit type at all… I hope it’s just a glitch and doesn’t mean they’re shutting down the location. It is my first choice of places to go, if I can get in there. 😟

Love this line from the story about the strange-looking “cat”:

“When she realized he was just a roly poly potato, she decided it was safe to be friends,”

We can always make friends with potatoes.

Frodo, Samwise, and Ulrich have just about melted my brain.

Wawa from hell had me in stitches. He will surely find the perfect person, despite all the caveats in the (hilarious) ad.

Dear little Marie: such a determined cria!

Juanita was shockingly cute. I couldn’t figure out what kind of strange fruit lived in her enclosure, until I realized it was another dillo.

I thought the second one was a loaf of sourdough bread! LOL. Guess both of us need some caffeine this morning.

      • SoccerSue April 12, 2021 / 11:39 am

Yeah, I read “dillo” in DebG’s comment as …ahem…let’s just say a slightly different word. :-O So apparently I need to get in line for the caffeine.

My undergrad alma mater had an annual Armadillo Day. Naturally we shortened the name to Dillo Day, and then to much less appropriate names.

            LOL!

I LOVE Juanita! The squeaking! Putting her hands over her eyes to, I guess, block the light!

I’ve been out all day so I’m catching up on all the posts.

Love the wawa from hell, I would take her but my husband and cats wouldn’t like it. LOL!

Thunder the pittie foster dad has won my heart and just about convinced me that pitties are okay.

Wook of Wuv melted me. And made me laugh because it reminded me of Eddie Murphy singing Buckwheat! Can’t find a better link than this, but Ookin pa nub has long been a catchphrase for me:
