Hey Mom? First of all, don’t freak out, it’s me. Yes, I know I look a little different but let me tell you what happened. So I head out through the cat door onto the front porch as usual, and there’s this little gift basket with a dog biscuit in it, and written on the biscuit in frosting it says “Eat Me.” So I figured, what the heck, and I nibble a piece of it, and then the strangest thing happened…

OMG that face!
I wonder what happens when he drinks from the water bowl….
(Went to reddit page: Roscoe got locked in the basement by accident. He didn’t whine, just waited patiently. Roscoe is 150 pounds. He also does not like wet weather.)
Squeaky wheel gets the grease, Roscoe. Just sayin’.
I’m currently listening to Alice in Wonderland with a great reader so especially drawn to this. Sweet doggie😘
I had a several-LP set of Cyril Ritchard reading Alice that I loved as a child. Still have it, in fact, just don’t at present have a cartridge for my turntable. So I bought the digital version. IMO it holds up beautifully—I can’t imagine anything better!
I read Alice in Wonderland a number of times over the years. This sounds like I might enjoy it.
I used to read it every few years. I’m overdue for a new read. Adds to mental to-do list
Amazon did not have it. Rats!
I just found it on Amazon — but under their music, not books or audiobooks. To make it easy, just google “Cyril Richard reads Alice In Wonderland,”and it should be one of the top enteies.
Oh, it’s an audiobook. I’ve never listened to an audiobook. Thank you.
I think I got it via Apple’s Books app.
There’s also a recording of Through the Looking Glass by Joan Greenwood and Stanley Holloway. Although I didn’t have this one as a child, when I bought it a few years ago I fell in love with it instantly.
Wow! I’d love that one, too! I know a lot of the Stanley Holloway monologues – love his voice.
Oh, I would love that. Not sure the reader I’m listening to is quite that caliber – couldn’t find his name – but he’s delightful. I remember as a kid I was watching Peter Pan with Mary Martin as Peter and Cyril Richard as Captain Hook. My favorite line as Hook begins to sing – “Smee! A tarantella!”
That face! That expression!
What a sweet doggo. Mike, you’re really on a roll today. I hope this is evidence that you are feeling tip-top.
There’s just the slightest bit of residual dizziness left. I think it’s helping.
Glad to hear your continuing to feel better. I hope all of the dizzy feeling goes away. Do you now have meds on hand to help if you have more dizzy spells? I keep my RX for that with me at all times.
