Are we sure this was real and not a Coming Attractions clip for a movie – Handsome Australian firefighter living on the beach saves injured magpie and starts new life as handsome firefighter at the beach and bird whisperer.
No joke! What a great guy! He does an amazing job with birds. I didn’t really realize that wild birds could be so affectionate. Didn’t know he wrote a kids’ book either. Will have to look for it.
He’s got to have hundreds of local girls/boys ready to move in with him!
Based on his accent, I’m pretty sure Matt is a New Zealander and not Australian. No wonder the birds like him, he’s a Kiwi!

Ok, quick update.
Lung function test shows no new scarring, and lung capacity increased. Still scarred on lower right lung, which explains pain and breathing issues, but nothing to worry about.
CT scan shows no airway lesions or scarring. Something showed up on my thyroid, but no one is freaking, so not worried.
Some concern over my foot situation, but not much. I probably will be sent to neurologist to get it checked out.
So some good news to start the week, along with ducklings and two types of kittens and squirrels and magpies and a corgi!
