Five bears invade home, baby seal born, bomb-sniffing hero dog, the cat wants your hat, plus more.
And finally: The Cat and the Hats
Andrew Y. shares a cat who knows you’re supposed to take your hat off indoors.
Haha! Tricked!

The hat stealing kitty! His ears coming around the corner and the look of disbelief when the guy is wearing TWO hats. The audacity! ๐ ๐ป
I love the look on his face! I saw this the other day and watched it several times…and now I just watched it another three or four times…
I’m crying with laughter. That brief video has so much win.
Kitty has not yet mastered the “owl ears” technique ๐คฃ
Mike I think autocorrect got you again, under the story about the dogs going to the store it says CAT I keep it, mom? instead of CAN I keep it mom?
But I love the story and it was very nice of the lady to go and find the owner and bring her to the store and then drive her and the dogs back.
Yep, fixed it, thanks!
I hope the dogs got some toys out of it. Very intelligent snd enterprising dogs.
The Lake Tahoe bears have stolen my heart. I want to see mama gamboling about with cubs.
Plus the way the people figured out there were bears in the crawl space!!! Again crying with laughter!
I love the kitty with hat rules. My first kitty had rules about skipping. I skip very awkwardly, and he scolded me every time by smacking my legs. Everyone else could skip near him, but I had to watch my step.
My cats didn’t have much in the way of rules, except that they should not be separated from each other. But Ricky had more rules than I can count, and one of the funniest was that men should not wear shorts. He didn’t mind women wearing shorts, but men? Hecc no. What with one thing and another, I spent a lot of my life with Ricky saying, “He doesn’t get it from me!”
Was it the hairy legs?
Were you ever able to test if he also didn’t like hair on a woman’s legs?
Thatโs a good excuse for not shaving!
That never occurred to me, so I never tried testing. But really, Ricky could be testing enough as it was! ๐ He had so many rules and quirks and โฆ really, he was a serious piece of work. I miss him every dayโbut I must say Bibi is like a paid vacation by comparison. She has her sassy moments, but on the whole she’s a super sociable, sweet, and tranquil wee beastie. (“Tranquil” is not a word anyone could ever have applied to Ricky, but my goodness, he was funny! And SO loving with me and the neighbors and friends he chose to adopt.)
That is hilarious Elizabeth!!
Got this in an email this morning. Iโm totally grossed out, and had to share.

Ewwwwwwww. I feel like I have to go home and take a shower. Why would anyone put that on their face??? I understand about the supposed benefits but still!
Yeah, not buying that.๐
The cat and the hats video cracks me up every time I watch it. Especially when the guy wears TWO hats and the cat only snags one. Plus I love kitty’s hamock bed, looks soo comfy.
Uhmm, people if you think you hear snoring or rumbling under your house, go investigate! It may not be your pipes. That said, I’d love to have seen the people’s faces when the bear came out from under the house. Considering the size of mama, I’m surprised she didn’t move the house off it’s foundation. Yeah for Patron but sorry we need his services. Can we say the dogs are now cat burglars? And what a sweet neighbor to play with the dog and even better that both dogs are buddies now having playdates.
Um…it’s probably not good if you’re pipes are snoring, either. Maybe check with a plumber…
Patron is the goodest boi. What a hero! I love the crocheted plushie (not knitted, sorry NPR you need to hire better editors).
