My parents got my first dog, Flossie, from the local RSPCA. Her previous owner must have been a drinker because every time we took her for a walk past a pub she insisted on dragging us through the door.
My parents got cats from a morbidly obese woman. Every time we opened the fridge, Alex was underfoot, even though he never asked for anything.
Guess that was their bonding time.
