I had the same thought! Pickle’s obvious joy and eagerness are healing to my heart.
The video of Winston is lovely and I’m happy that the little monkey is safe and loved now but the problem with videos like this one is that it makes it look so fun to have a monkey as a pet and that will make people want one.
Yes the man talks about how Winston was sick when he rescued him but all you see is a cute little monkey getting pets and playing with the dogs. Not enough emphasis is put on how bad animal trafficking is, how they often kill the mother to get the baby and also how difficult it is to take care of a monkey it is not like having a cat or a dog.
I had the same response when I first saw that video. And my feelings haven’t changed.
Aw, little Winston is too cute. Some people suck but others help make up for it.
Love the Catio. I think if I could exercise with elephants I might do a lot more of it. The spider monkey is intensely adorable snd he is treated with great love but he has lost his whole world. Animal traffickers are very cruel .
