Happy for Riggs, but wondering what happened to whoever left him in the car…
Glad the nursing home took the hint and adopted Scout. The assisted living place my uncle was in had a resident dog, a black lab. I don’t remember his name but he would hang out in the lobby or around the front porch. (That was about three years ago and he was pretty old at the time so I don’t know if he’s still there.)
Love the birds…especially the furry ones.

Hurray, my Sumatran tigers made it! I can’t wait to watch them again and catch up on all the linkies.

I like the first kitty in the window announcing that the Jones’s are coming! That expression! And judging by the snag on the curtains, the Jones’s have come over before!
The baby tigers look like unsure kittens! First day with their new instincts!😄

Way to go, Scout! You knew where you were meant to be. And way to go, staff, who recognized that truth and did the right thing. Win-win, right across the board.
Also? Wow, John Carlisle of the Detroit Free Press is a good writer. You just don’t come across reeeeally good newspaper writing much, these days.

I second your rave for John Carlisle. That was one of the best new pieces of writing I’ve come across in quite some time, as well as one of the most heartwarming.

Yep. Someone’s cutting onions again. Good on Scout and his new people. Good on that writer. Detroit Free Press is one of my hometown papers!

The Scout article was FANTASTIC! The author made me want to move in. LOL.
I can’t help but wonder if Scout’s owner was once a resident at the home? Or that his former owner was older?
My Poncho was a stray (I’m in constant disbelief that a 7 lb chihuahua can survive on the streets by itself) and I’m convinced that his former owner was an older female, because he loves my mom more than anything. If he had to choose between eating and being with my mom, he would choose my mom. LOL.
According to Cesar Millan, you don’t choose the dog, the dog chooses you, so…

Unexplainable cats had me howling. Good thing I’m over in my office with no one around to hear me. So happy for Scout and being adopted by the nursing home, good thing they took the hint. My mom’s assisted living place had a dog too, a big lovable golden doodle. Loved watching the tigers playing, remind me of human toddlers at the pool. Gemma is an absolute lovey dovey girl, thank goodness she was brought in off the streets and has a home now. Interesting things you see (and sometimes can’t unsee!) at the birdfeeder. I think I’d burn up this page with some of the choice words I have for Riggs former owner leaving him in a car. Good thing he was rescued in time.

Great links today. Very funny “unexplainable”cat behaviors. Scout’s story was wonderful – a real happy ending for everybody. TIGERS PLAYING WITH BALLS!!!!!

Sumatran tigers were just as much fun the second time around. Loved watching them get their pounce on, especially when it became a bounce!
