I need to rewatch those movies–it’s been far too long. After I listened to Andy Serkis reading the trilogy, I planned a binge watch but didn’t get around to it.
Yeah, it really IS a binge watch, esp if you have the extended edition DVDsā¦and I do! I have lost track of how many times Iāve seen it now. Itās one of my fav moviesāI consider all 3 to be one.
I do have extended editions. And I’ve watched all the extras too–yep, I’m a nerd.
Ah, but do you recognize when they sneak in the chapter titles into the dialogue?
Discuss when they diverge from the books? Recall what appendix this or that was pulled from?

I think so. The photographer was lucky. I donāt usually read much of the text in those Bored Panda posts but I did see the part where he said the earthquake hit 15 minutes after his plane took off.
That first kitty with the ocean-colored eyes is gorgeous.
It broke my heart to look at those lovely photos. Photographer is really talented and I wanted to see them all. But knowing their (probable) fate . . . sniff sniff.
What a wonderful hobbit hole for the kitty. Wondering if they make one big enough for a human, I can just imagine how cozy it would be. Surfing kitty Maverick is a real maverick, water sports, snowboarding, global adventures, what an amazing life! And amazing humans to include him in everything. Granpa and his new puppy, just awwwww.

If I ever get to New Zealand again, I’m going to do the whole hobbit adventure thing. The movie sets are now guest rooms or a theme park or something. Still so bummed I missed all that when I went some years ago.
