I have this squirrel trained to pose for a photo before I give her a peanut! She’s very sweet and will take it (gently) from my hand. I’ve included a bonus photo of her staring off into space, thinking important squirrel thoughts.
I would like to join this squirrel in contemplating life in the garden…
I love how squirrels are shaped when they stand, like a fuzzy pear with nipples.

Whelp, I won’t be going back to THAT store for a while. Got caught in the produce section, holding up bananas and laughing at pears and kiwis.

I’m *pretty* sure this is the one I’ve been calling “Tipsy” (they all kinda look alike). She had some kind of neurological issue going on last summer- she would rock back and forth when she was sitting still, and when she walked she would always veer to the left. This summer the only way I can tell it’s her is that, instead of hopping along, she prefers to kind of army crawl through the yard. She’s capable of hopping; she just seems to prefer walking. I didn’t figure she would live long, so it’s awesome to see how much she’s improved.
And yes, she’s probably had babies, but mostly I think she’s just fat from all the peanuts. 😀
