That just didn’t sound like a gerbil! At first I thought it was a hamster, then…I saw the tail! This is a fat-tailed gerbil, different from the kind usually seen in pet stores. They calm down much better, and are slower. The regular gerbils are FAST and very active and prefer a co-habitant. (Had many gerbils from 7th grade thru about 10 years ago.)
I was wondering about that gerbil. None of the 5 I had were that chill.
The bunny/dog relationship has me verklempt. So sweet! I’m glad they rescued that bun!

Maru the gerbil is over the top spoiled. What a life! The only thing I disliked about the Boston Marathon kitty story is there’s no follow-up! Inquiring minds want to know what happened after the hand off. Did it go to the vet? Did the other lady adopt it? Talk about being left hanging.
