    …or flying insect?😂
Welcome back, Mike! Hope you had a relaxing vay-cay!
Just gave Pretzel banana, and he bounded all over with it before eating. I’d say it’s a hit!

Bananas with rabbits are always a hit. But how would they know how they taste, they wouldn’t find them in the wild.

I have always wondered about the love of bananas with rabbits! I mean, who gave them the first one and discovered gold?

    That’s a lotta floof!

Not much going on this weekend. I was off yesterday and did absolutely nothing. I really need to do some stuff today. Also want to finish Ted Lasso this weekend.

And now for a big question: What do Olive & Mabel do?

    • DEBG November 11, 2023 / 12:42 pm

      How’s your dad doing, Allein?

Also Mabel and Olive have a dreamy life. What a gorgeous place!

My mom says he’s “doing well” and napping on the couch at the moment.

If Cutetropolis has taught us anything we know that being that cute is exhausting.

I wish these beauties were looking up at me!

My doctor had put in a request in May for me to see a dermatologist because I had a big blackhead on my back and I finally had my appointments Wednesday.
It took a long time because it wasn’t considered to be something that needed immediate attention being only cosmetic.
As it turns out it wasn’t a normal blackhead it was a cyst that had ruptured and got filled by dead skin debris and stuff, she dug it out and now I have a small hole in my back 😂

Hope every one’s problems are as easily solved and that you all have a nice weekend.

    TGIS
I agree with Georgiana. I’d love it if these floofs looked at me this way.
Tired. Grumpy, but not as bad as yesterday. Sore.
Was supposed to start work next week, but not on schedule. Aggressively unconcerned.
Glorious storm outside. Enjoying not being in it.
    Have a great weekend, everyone.

Happy Caturday, everybody! Love these little floofs.

I’m spending my morning playing with yarn too: finally documenting tons of handspun that has been waiting so I can get into my studio again. I work all next week as usual, but then I’m taking THREE DAYS OFF before Thanksgiving, equalling a 9-day break from work! It’s been ages since I’ve had such a long staycation. I’ve got a mile-long list of things to make/finish during that time. And that means the studio has to be a working space without bins of yarn all over.

So this weekend and the following week are all about getting ready: sampling for projects, maybe winding warp chains and warping the loom, prepping a list of things to dye (yeah, I like to make lists), and making fiber batts. It’s going to be great!

Hope you all are well other than holes in backs and other aches. The kitties send purrs to help you heal.

Friends, today I had to accept a heartbreaking fact – the local fish and chip shop has closed down. WHAT WILL I DO ON SATURDAY NIGHTS? There is another one not far away but it’s more expensive and not as nice. *Wipes away tear*

In other news, I bought a three-month subscription to the 1921 census returns to fill in a few gaps in the family tree. Almost immediately I solved the riddle of why I couldn’t find any record of a great-grandmother’s death – she married again after her first husband’s death and used his surname for the rest of her life. Not a single member of the family ever mentioned this to me, even though she died as recently as 1959. Sadly for genealogists, the 1931 census returns were destroyed in a fire and there was no 1941 census because of the war, so we won’t be able to see the 1951 census online until 2052 at the earliest!

Oh, no, not the local chippie!

Best fish and chips I ever had in my life was at Petergate Fisheries in Yorkshire in … 1977, I think. That said, the fish and chips at A Salt and Battery in Greenwich Village (NYC) are really, really good. One of the few things I miss about living in that neighborhood. I’m too far away to just drop in now.

Oh dear Alice, not the fish & chips place! I always hated when a familiar restaurant closed or revamped. It’s like losing a friend. Had yesterday off so went on a mini road trip to a car museum near Los Angeles. Small but not bad, the big deal is you could actually sit in the cars! It was pretty cool to see how leg room and seats compared to today’s cars. Some were like sitting on your living room sofa and others were a pretty tight squeeze. Got my covid shot today, and since I got my flu last week, I should be prepared for any nasties this winter. Cleaned house and will be hosting the car club meeting at our place later today. I’m just going to go hide with the dogs in the back bedroom, lol. Tomorrow will be all the other errands that didn’t get done today. Happy weekend everyone!
