This Thanksgiving, kindness and charity are needed more than ever. So after the stuffing and the spending, Nov. 28 will be Giving Tuesday, a day to donate and volunteer to help those with less to be thankful for. As always, Cutetropolitans are invited to share links to worthy charities in the comments, and learn about charities featured in years past.

Mike, I so love that you do this.
My contribution: The Wild Animal Sanctuary, which houses Hank the Tank, the bear who broke into Lake Tahoe homes, and IIRC 19 tigers rescued from the Tiger King.

Added, thanks for sharing!
The last few years I’ve done World Central Kitchen and St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
I love Jose Andres. All the serious situations his foundation goes to but he’s still just so much chaotic joy.
Chaotic joy indeed. The salt and air margaritas look fantastic.
Not so sure about the cotton candy brussels sprouts, though…
Added St. Jude’s, thanks!
Mike,
I want to add the Purple Lease Project that allowed domestic violence victims to leave with their pets for safer environments.
The idea that the abusers also abuse/hurt/kill the pets is horrifying and the victims will often stay in dangerous situations to protect their beloved pets.

Added, thanks for suggesting.
I’ve made a donation today.
Hope that others were motivated to donate to a cause that they connected with today.
