I saw a headline about the bull on the tracks and I must say, I was not expecting it to be in Newark. I’ve been through that station (but never got off the train there). Used to take the train from Princeton Junction to NY Penn Station a couple times a month.
I laughed at the question in the UPS article, “First, we were wondering how his coworkers and supervisors at UPS reacted when they found out about Jason’s Instagram account.” Um…there’s a whole facebook page called UPS Dogs with pictures of drivers all over the country with the dogs they encounter on their routes. (Not an official UPS thing but it’s hardly new.) Of course I follow them… I love it when they pop up on my feed.
I need one of those desk plushies…
are they kidding? I can’t imagine a company not seizing on this kind of thing for PR/community relations.
Or at the least putting out a calendar.
If Jason Hardesty isn’t a Man of Cutetropolis, I don’t know who is. Dang, he’s cute! Every bit as cute as all those puppers he’s posing with. May he live long and prosper.

Happy Holidays, peeps. I am now on break (as in two weeks without pay) while the fancy people celebrate. But I had a giant gingerbread cookie for breakfast and I now have an earworm of an ’80s song. Life is all right. Off to apply for jobs and to conjure a Ph.D.

Good morning. A rogue bull was found running the tracks of Penn Station in Newark, NJ, yesterday, causing a great deal of curiosity. Where did it come from? It wasn’t a nearby farm (there aren’t any), a PBR event at the Prudential Center, the Red Bulls mascot, or a plot by Chris Christie.
While the matter is still under investigation, trains did begin moving again after a 45-minute delay, thanks to bovine intervention.

I think I read that he escaped from a slaughterhouse in the area. One headline called it “Bovine Bedlam”, almost as good as Mike’s hover text. And here’s an update on how he’s doing:

Gremlin kittens are adorable and so is Bokchoy. But Bokky is just h-u-g-e! Didn’t realize Malamutes can get that large. Jason and her puppers are too sweet, and such a great smile on him. I follow UPS Dogs too on FB. There used to be a driver (now retired) that had the best posts, I think his name was Scott Hodges. In the ranking of hilarious posts and amazing word play, our Mike was #1 and he was #2.
