Cats are so cute when they are young, why can’t kitten stay kitten forever?
Not much going on here today just doing chores and maybe watching a movie tonight if I can decide what to watch. We’re back to cold weather since Thursday but it’s going to be really warm starting Monday which reminds me I have to go shopping for new sandals.
Hope everyone is fine and has a good weekend.
Such lovely mini haus panthers. Rainy day here, might go to a movie later, the new Dune is supposed to be amazing. Just voted today but it was difficult. Some elections, like this one, I feel like I’m voting for the lesser of two evils or for the devil I already know vs an unknown entity. I’ve seen how well unknown entities worked in the past. Enough with the politics, I have good news. It’s a funny story too. Last Sunday we went to the dealership just to ask some questions and get info on how to get out of our car lease early. Five hours later, we drove off the lot with a new truck after ending the lease and trading in our other vehicle. 🤦♀️🤷🏻♀️We did need a different vehicle, with hubby’s new position he’ll be traveling/driving more so we’d be over our lease mileage allowance and he didnt want to drive the Mustang that much. I just thought we’d wait a little bit but at least now we’re all set.
Baby panthers! I luff them so much!
Weird day for me: hair appointment at 2, instead of first thing in the morning, so I have to do stuff that won’t cause me to lose track of time. (This is why I try to schedule stuff for early in the day.) If, say, I get totally engrossed in weaving or knitting, I don’t bother to look at the clock.
We’re having gorgeous weather right now, before it gets cooler and cloudier next week. I went on a 3.3 mile walk around the lakes yesterday that was simply perfect: low 60s, sun setting behind the Rockies, cute dogs out for walks, and 6 bunnies. I love Colorado so much. Too bad my loom won’t fit on my little balcony.
Hope you all are well. AJ, congrats on the new car!
6 bunnies! SQUEEE!
Usually I see many more–I have to time things so I’m at the peak bunny areas just as dusk falls. Soon it will be baby bunny time! Tiny cottontails are a joy.
Sounds like a gorgeous walk. My brother and his family are in CO Springs and I always enjoy visiting, love the scenery and the mountain views.
I’d love a houseful of black cats.
Fun week here. Weather, birthday, taxes, too much family, health, sewing, finances, not enough hubby. Discovered new book series. It’s been out for years, but I just found it.
Duckie’s little head looks like it got attacked by a tiny hedgehog; it’s all spiky with new feathers.
Hubby is really into wood burning projects.
Off to wreak havoc.
Have a fantastic weekend, everyone.
What’s the new book series?
Always interested in finding new books to read, so hope you will share your find with the rest of us.
Feather sheathes on a bird are cool, but make it hard to age a bird when you are bird banding.
The Princess series, by Jessica Day George. Essentially fairy tales, but novelizations.
I want to conceal those mini-voids about my person and casually walk out of the room!
The weather here is cold, wet, and miserable, which makes it difficult to understand why I was sent three packages of garden-ready plants at least two months before I expected them. I planted two lots out in containers that can be moved indoors until the weather improves, but the third batch’s container is fixed to the wall so I’ll just have to swathe it in plastic at night and during particularly cold days.
My theatre-going year got off to a flying start last week with “Bluebeard”, a modern take on the fairy tale, and next Saturday I’ll be seeing “Macbeth” at a theatre I haven’t visited since the pre-Covid era.
Not a good day. They still haven’t fixed issues at work and now I found a new one with their workaround, so have been beyond annoyed with it all for two weeks now. Rainy, got woken up at 5:30 by [bleep] neighbor’s car stereo, migraine which actually made me throw up (I get nausea sometimes but have never actually thrown up before), then I went back to bed and now just got out of the shower but my head isn’t any better. Hopefully when the weather clears up it’ll help.
Not a Beyoncé fan but I did watch this several times…
That’s adorable. I just came across a Youtube video for Prancercise and this little pup is an expert.
Sorry about the super-crappiness lately. My cats send healing purrs.
Sorry about work, technology is great until it doesn’t work. So frustrating. Migraines are no fun, hopefully you feel better soon. When my migraines hit, I’d lie in a dark room with an icepack on my face/head and the radio on low. Only way I got through them.
Perfect marriage of prosh prancing peppy pupper and slamming new country song. Yee-haw!
Sorry about your office woes, Allein, and even sorrier about your migraines. I hope you get lasting relief soon.
This is The Girl’s own dog and I love him so much.
Poor leetle pup! I’m so glad someone responsible has the care of him!
