Pink grasshopper is actually cute! That girl sounds like my niece, who captures bugs,
insects and anything else she can.☺️
Bat is darn cute! It’s too bad they are falling to the ground as babies. I wish I lived near large bats in Australia. I love the flying fox-faced bats.
SO glad the pittie got the care he needed! Some people are just stupid about animals, leaving him out—or kicking
him out—into the freezing weather😤 I want to make his former owners stay outside in winter with no clothes! See how they like it!

Pink grasshopper is pretty! I love the combo of pink and green. Madeline seems like a budding etymologist.

Videos will have to wait for later.

Either that or she’s a natural that given the menagerie of animals she’s caring for

Hoglet the “hedgehog” is so cute! Huckleberry is also very sweet, if maybe not the brightest bulb.

The Pom-pom hoglet story is so sweet. Bless that lady for trying to do the right thing even though she was confused. Her story will give people a chuckle and help them remember to be kinder. I’d say she’s still done a lot of good.

      Bless her heart.

I agree. She did what people are supposed to do for wild hedgies.

Plus how many times have I mistaken a paper bag, sitting in my own kitchen, for one of my cats?

      I hope she kept it.

I hope she’s inspired to start a pompom sanctuary in her back yard

Duckie suddenly gets an interesting idea.

That bull in the goat shed is my spirit animal. I need someone to do that me for me.

That lucky pompom! So well taken care of. 🙂 I actually think this story is so very sweet! What a kind soul.
I saw Huckleberry last night. I hope he now gets to wander off and hang out under a cork tree with Ferdinand.

Similarly, I bought an “air fern” when I was a child in the 19[mumble]s.

Total lack of misting, water, or anything else, and remaining perfectly green for years, without any change. I was thinking dyed plastic, but Wikipedia for “Air fern” says “These so-called ‘ferns’ are dead and dried colonies of hydrozoans, colonies of marine hydroids, … Despite a superficial resemblance to plants, they are actually animal skeletons or shells. The dried colonies are often dyed green, but, when soaked in water, the coloring will dissolve.”

I’ve been known to water plastic plants.

My grandmother got a pteradactal egg as an xmas present back in the day. I ended up eatng it later but the instructions were great.

    • DEBG March 28, 2024 / 10:27 pm

You’re sure it wasn’t a dragon egg, supposedly extinct? You could have been the Mother of Dragons!

      • Kar March 28, 2024 / 11:51 pm

The instructions manual said pterodactal, even had diagrams for fake wings and head to act like a surrogate when it hatched.

It sure tasted like a jawbrealer.

There is now way I could ever confuse a pom pom for a hedgehog for the simple reason that sadly we don’t have hedgehogs here in Canada.

I saw the poor Pittie’s story on YouTube yesterday, I’m glad he is now safe and away from the people who abused him.

    P.S. I love bats!

The poor pittie got such loving care after bring discarded. I bet he’ll miss his tescuers

Love little Daisy the wedding crasher, and sweet Horton. I’m glad these two were rescued.
