They were getting all cranky and fidgety so we’re taking a break. Also, I ran out of ink. As soon as hubby gets back from the hardware store I can finish the ears and splatter ’em a bit more.

I count 101!!
😂
Dots or pups?
Oh, the devil take it, they’re mongrels. No spots! No spots at all!
Mama looks so proud.
So that’s how it’s done!
Mama dips her nose in the ink, and then boops the puppy.
Awwwwwww 🥰
Or she dips her ears and then does the wet-dog head shake over the puppies.
What a proud mama, and dang that’s a lot of puppies. I volunteer to come Jackson Pollack some of the pups.
I counted 13? That’s a large brood!
That is Not normal. Puppy farm, possibly? I so hope not.
My family breeds Great Pyrs and while 13 would be a large litter, it’s far from impossible. Larger sized dogs often have larger sized litters.
Meanwhile puppy mills rarely if ever have the ability to force larger litter sizes. I suppose they could take pups from one mum and give them to another to combine the litters, but it’s not something I’ve seen. Plus I kind of doubt that they’d have the puppies indoors in what looks like a fairly nice house.
My guess is that this really is just a really large but not impossibly large litter with a very tire d but proud momma.
I agree. It just looks like an unusually large litter.
FWIW, I looked this up, and *apparently* the *average* Dalmatian litter size is 8, with a range from 2 to 15. So I don’t think we need to leap to the worst conclusion.
The pic is from 2016, so pups are all grown up by now. I hope they’ve all been having happy lives.
Janice is a spotless beauty!

They look like globs of cookies n’ cream ice cream! Adorable ice cream globs.
