Impressive whiskers on the stately gentleman. And to paraphrase the immortal Jimmy Buffett, it’s dinner time somewhere! And I wouldn’t be able to say no to that face either.
I think we can do dinner a little early today…
It’s good to be prepared.
Right now Miss Bibi is too tired to think about food. She had a dental cleaning today, and four extractions. This required anesthesia, and I think she’s still pretty stoned. She is, however, snuggled up next to me, and that always feels good.
I have all kinds of reminders set up now for her medication and for when I can stop giving her soft food and put her back on her dental prescription kibble. She can’t have her special morning snicky-snax for two weeks, and when she didn’t get one this morning, Her Majesty was Not Pleased. So this should be Interesting.
Give her a gentle kiss from me. We’ve been through this frequently with Sevi. Lavender had her first dental cleaning a few weeks ago–I wanted to start her early so she doesn’t need extractions later.
I will be glad to give her your gentle kiss. Poor baby, she has no appetite, and she can’t bark to let me know the doorbell rang—that must be from the intubation. I’m supposed to give her a painkiller in about an hour, but she’s supposed to eat first, so I don’t know if I’ll be able to get it down her. I may just hold off till tomorrow if she’s still sleepy.
You were wise to start Lavender early. Both Ricky and Bibi were/are adult rescues, so some of the damage had already been done when I got them. Ricky in particular was just one long dental bill (but he was worth it).
