Good to be back, I must say. Took a bit of work, but I got the grass all green again, flowers blooming right on schedule. Oh, and your hay fever will be along shortly, just a heads up on that.
Can we just have some spring temps for a while without jumping right to summer, please?

Hear, hear! I second that request. Iād love a nice, gentle spring.

Thanks for the heads up… I haven’t had hay fever this bad since I lived in Nashville. Doc loaded me up on prescriptions, so hopefully I can function the rest of the week.

Earlier today I had to force my way between two bushes to navigate around some blocked sidewalk (note: I’m wearing shorts) and where I touched the pollen-covered plants I basically gave myself allergy tests: the foliage made little scrapes, forcing the pollen into the tissue. Within minutes I had big, red, angry tiger stripes on my legs. Two hours and some wiping with a wet paper towel later, they’re just scrapes.
And the past couple weeks I’ve been a snot volcano.

Take good care of yourself! I’d love to know what I got into (probably in Italy) that seems to have set off a histamine blitz.

I feel for everyone suffering the Spring Sneezies. Thankfully they’re not too bad now that I moved to CA but man, I would be miserable for about 1/2 the year when I lived on the east coast. First spring allergies, then they would die down a little only to come roaring back once ragweed season started in the fall.

Here on the East Coast we have spring (and they are mowing my complex today..š¤§) and a wildfire about an hour away. I was kind of expecting to smell smoke but all I smelled when I poked my head outside was cut grass.
Glad you’re ok, I saw the news about the fire and was wondering how close you were to it.

Yeah, it’s not too close to me; the only way it’ll affect me is if the wind blows smoke here. The air looks clear, though I haven’t been outside other than briefly sticking my head out the door this morning.
I do have a friend about 15 miles from it, but she’s okay.

Mother Nature can’t make up her mind here. It was cool & grey than warm & sunny, now back to cool & grey. Just pick a season already!! Also, pupper is beyond gorgeous and I love how the flowers pop against her white fur.

I have been sneezing a lot today but I really don’t care! After the winter we’ve had I’ll take a little sneezing if that means warm weather. Anyway I’m lucky in my case the sneezing goes away after the buds on the trees finish opening.

Love this sweet springtime. We’ve had lots of back and forth–80s one week, then snow last weekend. It’s settling down now.
