A user on Reddit rescued a baby cottontail rabbit and kept it safe until it could live on its own — but not before sharing this adorable video of the baby bun snug in a shirt pocket. Here’s the story:

Feifel and his siblings were living in a nest in our backyard. I didnβt notice them until one of our dogs got hold of a baby rabbit. I decided to take care of him until he was strong enough to be released.
The bond I had with this little bunny was unreal — he would lay on my chest and watch TV with me every night. I noticed that he would make these little clicking/grinding noises with his mouth and when I looked up what that meant, it’s apparently something rabbits do when they’re comfortable and content. I literally sobbed when I let him go. It was wild the emotions I felt for this little creature.

Awww! It would be so hard to release him! I wonder if he still visits…
oh gosh – so cute! Best Bunday post ever.
Beyond cute! And also so jelly she has rabbits in her yard. All I have are skunks and gophers. And thank you to the rescuer for keeping him safe then releasing him.
So precious! So glad she released him, but gosh that would be so hard.
Completely unrelated to todayβs post, but I wanted to share.
Yesterday I told how I had acquired a stuffed animal capybara at the mall. When I took it out of its wrapper, I checked the tag for its name. It was Hope.
Later, I was looking for some legal papers. I was going through a box and dropped a pack of Christmas cards on my foot. One fell out. The front said HOPE.
cue the Twilight Zone theme!
