Retail Rabbits

A video sent in by reader Andrew Y. opened up a rabbit hole leading to East by West gift shop in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, “Home of the Working Bunnies.”

A rabbit stands on the counter of a store and hands a credit card to a customer using its mouth.

East by West is one of two stores in Eureka where trained rabbits hand customers change, credit cards, even a pen to sign the receipt.

It’s the perfect form of retail therapy, putting smiles on customers’ faces.

Seems a tad inefficient… but I’d still wait all day.

Does that little sign in the second video say “NO VIDEO recording allowed”? I think that ship has sailed. 😄

came to ask the same question. (selfishly glad the sign was ignored)

Maybe the advent of phone recording made it different?

      I’ll meet you there!

What smart business owners. Who wouldn’t want their change, stamped receipt, and package handed over by fluffy buns?!

Apparently “stamped receipt” = slightly chewed. 😄

          Which is perfect. And adorable.

That’s cos it’s a Lop! Did you see her try and chew the credit card?😂

The first video must be 10 years old—have seen MANY times— but still impressed. Not just the handing but that the bun would participate so long! The last one is newer, and being a Lop not surprised with the chewing of paper!
I would definitely wait longer to get my money back from a bun!!
