Oh Baby, my brain cell is throbbing too! and my week is not quite over…
Good Morning All! I’m at it early today because I’m headed to a local Fall Fling to hawk my wares – well sort of. It will be smallish so I have some of my blank notebooks and light switch covers to sell, but I’m more excited about my little hobby printing press. It’s my local neighborhood, so I’ve set some type with our tagline and I’m rather pleased with the results. I will be letting people print on the press for free so that they have the experience of printing on a real little ol’ steam punk thing. Who knows? Maybe I’ll inspire some new little fans of doing things the old fashioned way.
I looking forward to catching up with everyone this evening. Hope this Saturday is pleasant and uneventful.
❤️
This sounds fantastic! Wish I lived nearby so I could try out your printing press.
Happy Caturday! I woke up at like 6:00 and couldn’t go back to sleep. Why can’t I do that when I actually have to get up for work? Now I’m having some oatmeal and hot chocolate.
The dogs were good. Oakley is obviously a very good boy, but maybe should learn that sometimes it’s okay to break the rules.
That look on Shark Teeth’s face! Give him some sandwich—just a leetle. And what about that name?😆
That Dachshund is way too small for that tall of a bowl! What else is s/he supposed to do to survive?🤨
I laughed aloud when Ralphie decided to take the rug instead😂
Crab dog is too much! Poor, adorable, Cashew! Glad they sent him allergy stuff👍🏼
I was hoping we’d get to see her teefs.
I wonder if the doxie has a bigger dog sibling and the elevated bowls are actually for that dog. And what that dog does when he goes to eat and the doxie is in their bowl.
I loved Ralphie’s little chomp toward the paper holder before realizing it was empty. “Well, fine, then, I’ll take this, instead.” At least dad won’t have to pull bits of rug out of his teeth (hopefully).
Wondered the same about the Doxie, as even when an adult that dish will be too high.
I can completely relate to that lovely ginger kitty. There are definitely days when I feel like I have but a single brain cell functioning (or not?). Just got home with my 15 year old calico girl, who had a wee infection for which she got the perfectly-named Convenia antibiotic shot.
I hope everyone has a lovely weekend, and that the upcoming week is less chaotic for us all.
Aww, I hope she feels better soon.
Best wishes for a quick recovery for your baby. We’re sending healing purrs too.
This week I learned that you can get a capybara heating pad. (They have lots of other cute animals, too…and food items, and flower pots…. The dachshund, of course, is a neck wrap. 😊)

I love these Warmies! Im still debating on getting one, and which one. They’re all so cute. I just looked and they also have a quokka and an axolotl!!! Ack, too many choices! Plus Halloween choices, like a sloth done up as Day of the Dead.
A very eclectic animal selection! A couple animals I never thought I’d see as a stuffie. Very satisfied with the cuteness factor👍🏼
I just scrolled through all (okay, not all, because every time I got to the bottom it loaded more!) of them (my computer was acting up earlier so I didn’t get past the flower pots). There are four mushrooms and they each have a different face! The strawberry and tomato look an awful lot alike (the strawberry just has some little seed things and a different stem). I love the bobcat’s ear tufts. And the sets of hugging animals!
There’s an evil eye! 👁️😄
You just had to do this, didn’t you! 😘
Now I have to choose between all the cuties. This will be a good way to relax my stiff hands.
Another quiet weekend in SoCal. Have Lego club today and depending on the weather, may hit the museums tomorrow. Weather here has been a little crazy, first had some cooling but then the last few days have been very warm and humid. Guess we’re getting the remnants of a tropical storm. Just wish it would blow out of here and we start getting more fall like temps. After the minor health issues earlier this month, Val and Thor are back to their usual sassy selfs. May try to do some cleaning and gardening but I think that may have to wait until it cools off. Have a good weekend all!
Had a successful start to my weekend with yard help from my nephew. He dug up all the weeds (good neighbor surprised me and did half first) last week. Friday he smoothed everything down in this 35 ft. sq. area, and laid out the weed barrier cloth. Then put on my remaining bags of mulch, which covered a third only. This patch has been an eyesore in my neighborhood for 2 years! (Half the weeds were nearly as tall as my window😳). Everyone takes care of their property so nicely—except for me.🙄 (After 2 knee surgeries and a broken femur, my back will not let me do much. Painful, hard to stand and walk, yes I have back braces.) I used to be a very active gardener, but we will put down mulch, and I will have a bird bath and plants in pots, which I can take care of, hopefully🤞🏼. So glad to have it mostly done and looking half-way good.☺️
OK bad family crisis here, I may be lurking for a while.
Whatever it is, Georgiana, we are here for you.
That sleepy ginger cat is my spirit animal. Just recently I’ve got into the bad habit of retreating to my bedroom for a “nap” in the afternoon, then waking up three to four hours later and being unable to sleep at night.
In other news, the 2025/26 RSC Stratford season has been announced and I’ve decided to book for ‘The Tempest’ (with Kenneth Branagh as Prospero) and ‘The Resistable Rise of Arturo Ui’ (with Mark Gatiss as Arturo). ‘The Tempest’ is one of my favourite plays, and over the years I’ve seen Prospero played by Derek Jacobi, Alec McCowan, Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, and Simon Russell Beale, amongst others.
I’m definitely with orange cat today.
Quiet but busy week, almost over. Several times, I contemplated not taking my meds on time and dealing with my idiot BILs once and for all. Given the meds I take, no judge would convict me for my actions pre-dose. Especially after meeting my BILs.
This coming week is possibly going to be interesting. I have been waiting for several things to be completed (90 day wait for application to be processed, etc) and most of them seem to be happening this week. Looking forward to results.
Hoping everyone has a good day today, and a decent coming week. Stay safe.
