Ain’t Nobody Here But Us Frenchies

You are what you eat? Reader AB, who’s shared many photos of Frenchies Grogu and Rey, shares new photos — and a cautionary tale:

When Rey was pregnant with Mando’s babies, she turned up her nose at commercial dog food and only wanted chicken. I warned her that if she didn’t stop that nonsense, her babies would BE chickens. She ignored me.

Recently, Sage received pupdates from the owner of Rey’s son, Samson. My worst fears have been confirmed. He may look like a Frenchie on the outside, but inside he’s one of the flock. At least he’s not a Labubu like his sister.

A French Bulldog sits at a glass door looking up at you. On the other side of the door is a flock of chickens
Is this a litter or a flock?

In French, a chicken says “cot cot codet” or simply “cot cot”, while a rooster crows “cocorico”. Just so you know.

David Sedaris makes this point eloquently in “Six to Eight Black Men.”

Am I the only one who finds it hilarious that Samson is a chicken? (also a total cutie)

AB, I love your description of your sweet puppers!

I have a pretty near constant sound track in my head; everything is a song cue. Or a song cute? Anyway, if you don’t understand NTMTOM’s reference in the headline, here it is! Enjoy!
