Man Buns

A black and white rabbit lies on a carpeted floor next to a man whose face is partially visible

Can men be bundads? That’s the latest microcontroversy brewing over at Reddit, where a woman wondered if men own rabbits — and men responded.

    I never even would have thought to ask…I mean, why not?

      Seriously – why not??
      I love some of the names guy have for their bunny friends:
      Buncle = instead of uncle
      Turd burglar = self explanatory 😂

    I don’t know. Perhaps there’s a perception that a man is not manly enough when they have rabbits as pets.
    Ironically, for those kind of perception, it is canon that Doomguy, a paragon of manlyness, wage war against Hell and hunt Demons to extinction, because those Demons dare to off his pet bunny Daisy.

    One of the neighbours had a flemish giant bunny.
    It was such a beautiful bun, but it was indeed huge 🙂

    I love man buns! (well, this kind anyway)

    And there’s nothing as sexy as a big strong man loving any small furry creature. Or giant Flemish one.

    De-lurking because I must tell this story! We take bunnies to a Furry convention every year. Furries are the best, they love animals and treat bunnies carefully and respectfully.

    Anyhow, we were having social time, and we were approached by a tall guy in full alien warrior dress. Armor, spikes, makeup scars, huge teeth, beard, the works. He asked to pet Homer. He told us about coming home one day, and a bunny followed him up his long driveway. She wanted to come into his house, so he let her in. And that was that.

    For nine years she was his constant companion, until she died of old age. Then the tears started. I put Homer in his arms, and he quietly sobbed, the makeup running down his cheeks. Homer just snuggled in, not at all afraid of this spiky guy.

    After the tears passed, the guy thanked us, and Homer. He said when he went home he was going to check out adoptable bunnies. After he clomped away, we felt such gratitude to be part of that moment. And, what a true man.

      That’s a lovely story. I hope he found a new cuddle bunny.
