I love this time of year; everybody gets what they want. The human sees candy, and I sees a crinkly bag toy. Win-win.

Yummm!!! See’s Candy is soo good and a tradition out here on the West Coast. I particularly love their molasses chips – Crispy honeycombed wafers flavored with real molasses on the inside, drenched in layers of See’s milk or dark chocolate. And kitty is so pretty too, matches the black and white of the bags.
PS. And the bad news keeps coming. For anyone who follows or watched US soap operas back in the 1970s – 80s, Anthony Greary passed away today. He played Luke Spencer on the show General Hospital and was part of that huge Luke & Laura plot line.
Yessss! See’s Candy! I am practically required to bring back the lollipops for work every year. Although, have you seen the “new” flavors? Green Apple, Strawberry, pyuck!
Erm, well? I just looked for them online and didn’t see them. That was this last summer, so either it was a “summer” flavor event, or they realized it was a bad idea. I do miss the peanut butter ones though.
I vividly remember Anthony Geary and that plot line. 2025 is starting to rival 2016.
IMO 2025 is a metric ton worse than 2016.
I’ve never watched General Hospital or any soap opera really but even I heard of the Luke & Laura thing, it’s almost as famous as who shot JR on Dallas, another show I never watched LOL!
I was one of many, MANY people in Britain who watched the big “who shot J.R.” reveal even though they’d never seen a single episode of ” Dallas”. And the funny thing is I can’t remember who it was!
Also, apropos of absolutely nothing, Dick Van Dyke just turned 100. Rumour has it that he’s still working on his Cockney accent.
Good heavens. 100. Eddie Izzard has a lovely and funny bit about how Dick must have studied in Australia for his Cockney accent in Mary Poppins.
I never watched GH, either, but I’ve heard of Luke & Laura. (I did watch Days of our Lives for a while in college. My grandmother and one of my friends watched so I got sucked in.) My mom watched Dallas; I was probably too young for it when she was watching it but I watched because she had it on.
Between Bondi Beach, Brown University and now Rob Reiner, I want to crawl into bed and come out for New Year’s.
After the idiots stop firing guns in the air.
Or at least pet that sweet tabby
I’m with you, Kar.
