From the Diary of Edwin Narwhal, Cabin Boy

June 12: The return of calm weather has raised our spirits. The captain no longer raves about sea monsters and whispers of mutiny have subsided somewhat. The crew are treating me better, even forgiving my earlier misinterpretation of the term “poop deck.”

A young housecat stands on the deck of an old sailing ship. Photographed from below, the cat stands proudly against the ropes and netting in the background.
In my defense, I really needed to go. (Reddit)

He looks like he’s wearing a gray coat. Very distinguished sailor.

    Did you say something?

Sorry, was distracted by those white paws.

I didn’t know what to expect with the scrolldown and the name so I was somewhat cautious. But this is ridiculously cute! And poor baby, the misunderstanding was well, understandable. And obligitory song:

But just wondering – I thought cats were afraid of water! Or is it being in the water not on it?
