That poor cat stuck upside down for days having to eat insolation to try to survive, I’m so glad she was rescued!

Georgiana, still sending good vibes and healing purrs to you and your husband. Friday must feel like a long way off, when you’re eager for answers.

Good Morning Everyone!
I sent an escaped tortoise article to Mike, but not this one. Probably it was behind a paywall, like this one is. Here is the article. It’s a gift link so I hope you can open it. (I didn’t send Mike a gift link – sorry about that!) It’s very funny. The tortoise’s name is Michael Angelo, (as in Ninja turtles).
This also reminds me I have a tortoise video of my own to send in. I went to visit our Academy of Natural Sciences which closed last weekend after 198 years. It is a beloved institution and there is understandably a lot of frustration with this closure. It’s so sad. They have an amazing collection including plant specimens collected by Lewis and Clark. There were some eloquent letters to the editor in this morning’s Philadelphia Inquirer including one from a 16-year-old volunteer who wrote about her experiences at the Academy.
And are we knitting too many sweaters for tiny animals? What a silly question – of course not! I’d argue we aren’t knitting enough of them.

He’s not far from where my dad grew up.

I love tortoise slow chases. They’re just wonderful critters, and I love how neighborhoods respond.

Lola definitely had an adventure and used up at least one of her lives. Glad she’s ok. Love the bald birdie with her outfits. Thank you for wombat Wednesday, I never weary of watching wooly wombats.

I have never knitted a tiny animal sweater. Am I slacking?
(Then again, I don’t know how to knit.)

This may be Mike’s greatest headline ever. Poor Lola–so glad she was rescued. Also that little wombutt!!!!!
Interspecies knitwear is a great way to learn knitting. If anyone’s interested, let me know and we can do Zoom lessons.

The sweater for the lovebird hurt my heart.โค๏ธ
I still have both of the sweaters made for Duckie. They go on our Christmas tree every year.

I love that. Picturing a tree branch going through the arms.

On the topic of KNITTED, did you see that related article about knitted seafood? Love how she uses sparkly yarn to make them ‘shiny.’

I love the lemon slices spilling out of the Pellegrino can.
Thanks Kar for pointing these out! I totally missed them. It was the French fries that did me in.
You all might enjoy a new book by one of my fave knitted minis designers. It’s cats as food, in boxes, etc.

Oh boy! I must have this. Thanks for posting.
How cute! I love the one in the little grocery bag and the one sitting on the laptop.
