This is my idea of a camping trip. No mosquitoes, no strange noises in the dark, just tie a hammock to the trees and sleep under the stars. There are stars up there somewhere, so that’s technically correct.

That actually looks really comfy.
Doesn’t it?
Somewhat hidden, softly held, able to see without being seen, able to immediately leap into action – a perfect spot for a cat.
And, you can still clean the floors without having to move the kitty.
LOL what does it say about my housekeeping that I didn’t think of that!
I’m with you kitty. Been there, done that with the camping – both tents, and campers. Give me a nice hotel room now with a comfy bed, a pool, room service, and I’m happy.
I’ve never understood the appeal of sleeping on the hard ground, dealing with ALL the bugs and plenty of other things that could eat you, no shower, and squatting behind the bushes. Like, why?
Last time I went camping was with my best friend’s family at Knoebel’s in Pennsylvania. We shared a tent and one day it rained and our tent leaked. Had to move our bags to the trunk of the car and hang our sleeping bags in hopes they would dry in time for bed. (They did, with a little help from a hair dryer.)
Right there with you. And this beautiful kitty. Indoor camping is the best kind.
You got bushes??
