What awesome capybara vids!! I love the interaction between mom and baby in the second๐
In the first โI must be as close the food as possible!!โ๐
Iโm sure the bowl edge is too high for the leetle one. Wonder if mom or keeper plunged her/him in?
Baby capy on top of the salad bowl looked like a toy until I hit play…
omg this face…
Baby cappy. – I am one with the meal. Love the pizzeria with a doggy treat window, wonder if the treats are pizza flavored?
Well, I actually made a clay pot yesterday and it didn’t come out too bad. Luckily they paired us with an actual potter who did a lot of the work, so it actually looks like a bowl. But I did get my hands (and the rest of me) dirty and tried something new. And best of all it was a free workshop! So nice of the ceramic people to let people try and not charge. It was such a fun experience I may look into taking some classes. The art fair itsel was really nice. There were so many fantastic artists in so many different mediums – painting, ceramic, photography, wood, glass, textile, etc etc. I wanted to buy one of everything, lol. I managed to restrain my self and only bought 2 things. – a bowl and a nightlight. Both of which I needed.
Here’s some pics of me throwing clay and playing at “potter”.
Thanks so much for this report and the photos, AJ. I’ve always wanted to try throwing pottery and your story might make that dream come true. It would be weird to have a horizontal wheel instead of a vertical one, though.
When I was a kid we went to a pottery place and watched them make hanging planters. My mom bought three!
We did pottery in secondary school and I managed to made a kind of vase. It wasn’t great but it something I made with my own hands so I could never get rid of it and it’s still on top of the bookcase in the living room to this day.
Oh great! Glad you enjoyed the experience. Ceramicists are wonderful. They’re just so down to earth. โบ๏ธ
One thing I really miss about living in California are the extremely reasonable community college fees. Take a class AJ, I learned so much in my ceramics classes. Loved it!
Baby capy made me gasp very loudly. Imagine being small enough to sit in your food!
Can’t wait to see the other links later.
Waiter,
there’s a baby capybara in my salad.

Can I get another to go?
Baby capy stole my heart.
