so where does a 2-ton elephant sit?
I wouldn’t have believed that if I didn’t just see it. An elephant–young, but not a baby; looks to be over 6 feet tall at the shoulder–trying to climb up on a platform like a dog getting on the sofa. (I’ve had big dogs that would sit just like that, hindquarters on the sofa and front feet on the floor.) I guess they lose agility as they reach full size? But that one is pretty darn big and still spry. I wonder, if she’d succeeded it getting her full weight on the platform, if it’d have collapsed. Simply amazingly like a dog–or maybe dogs are like elephants–but that same nuzzling, nudging, “I want to be near you” behavior.
