Why would one do that to a cat? If he had to get away quickly and climb a tree….? Maine coon cats, in particular, are adapted for cold weather and snow. There are some really stupid and ignorant people! That poor kitty.
From YouTube comments, I gather Buster was having some traction issues.
I can’t play the video at work. Is there a reason we’re assuming this is how he lives and not just gear for a supervised outing?
It looks like he only puts them on for outdoorzing. It’s winter and he’s an indoor cat. I don’t think the boots are a bad thing for long walks. He just looks aloof to me, not unhappy. I have seen cats and dogs strip off those booties, so I’m assuming he is okay with them.
I want to see them try to put them ON Buster.
I think that I would end up needing serious bandaging.
Yeah, that face doesn’t look too happy.
All Maine Coon cats remind me of Ron Perlman.
Suspect Buster (and most cats) is capable of taking them off if he wanted though.
He looks like he has a fierce will when needed.
Agree. He seems to be resigned to them, at least.
I wouldn’t dare do that to my cats!
Buster is one gorgeous floof.
