    Good Morning,
I saw the story of the 141 tortoise yesterday. Wow – I just can’t imagine. Love the little giggle at the end of the “Paws” film. perfect.
Update on Squirt, he is doing well. He is in the downstairs bathroom for now, hungry, and desperate for scritches. I’ll give him a bath this afternoon (he’s filthy and is very itchy), and we’ll see what happens. My tenant will give him a try with her kitty, maybe? He is so sweet, I’m not worried about him charming someone into taking him.
    Have a great day all!

      That’s great news about Squirt!

Good to hear but I think I missed something?? Hope Squirt finds a good home.

You mean you aren’t hanging on my every word, AJ? 😉
        The background:
Squirt was stuck in the house next door last week from Tuesday through Friday when I broke him out. He was hanging around all weekend, because food. He’s actually been hanging around the neighborhood all year. I kept hoping “someone” would take him and get him fixed and adopted, but I should know by now, that someone is always me. I lucked out and got him an appointment at PAWS, our local rescue/low income/TNR non-profit shelter yesterday. Now he’s recuperating with me. I’ve sent Mike some pics for a Caturday post. Stay tuned.

Oh boy – well, great job, Tara! Can’t wait to see his photos on Caturday. 😻

I agree, great job Tara! I’m kinda out of the loop. I’m off work this week and running various errands so only been checking this page every so often. Squirt’s lucky to have you.

          Aw thanks y’all.

I need a full-length version of Paws, please.

Imagine all the changes Gramma has seen. Even just in the way visitors dress and things like that.

    This face!

(The caption says he just showed up at their house and they gave him water and were trying to find his owners. In the comments there is an update: “little man was reunited with his proper family later that evening. they were very appreciative of the care i gave him while he was gone. apparently he is an escape artist.”)

I would also like a full length version of Paws please. I wasn’t sure what was going to happen there, but omg that was great!

This one looks like he belongs to the Peaky Blinders LOL!

There’s just something about sighthounds in turtlenecks. But the hat is *next level.*

Facebook has in recent days started showing me reels from a guy who has “conversations” with his Italian Greyhound (who seems like a skeptical/judgy sort, as he probably should be). The Iggy wears turtlenecks. Next time I see him I’ll have to note the name and see if I can find him on Instagram or something. He’s funny.

        • Georgiana November 26, 2025 / 11:50 am

          Would it be this guy?

          • allein 🐾 November 26, 2025 / 12:36 pm

Yes! I hadn’t seen that one, though.

Pablo was the opposite. He’d be doing something cute and I’d want to get a picture, he’d see me pull out the camera, and he’d stop what he was doing and sit up to pose for the picture.

The story about Gramma is really neat.

Bobcats are just beautiful. I wouldn’t mind seeing them in my neighborhood–there was a coyote a few weeks ago!

More Paws please. I’ll enjoy the puppers later.

Back around 2020, there was a woman in Arizona (I think) who had a bobcat decide her house was a good place to have her babies. She named her Roberta and videoed the babies’ first several weeks (safely through the window) until they went off on their own. They were adorable. Thankfully they weren’t too close to the door that mom might be a danger to the people coming and going; they were around the side of the house and there was a big window nearby so she had a good angle for filming, and also a garden wall that shielded them from passersby, which I imagine was a factor in her decision to raise her babies there. It was very exciting when the little ones finally learned to jump to the top of the wall.

        I remember that!

Bobcats in AZ give new meaning to the words Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. Video has me in stitches! I think I’ve watched it like 5 times now, never gets old. Plus I’ve forwarded it to about 4 people. Who knew couches could be so dangerous, just too dang funny.

Just when you thought it was safe to get on the sofa…
