My friend and I were just discussing how many people will cosplay as her at Halloween in tribute.
She loved the drag queen ones.
Playing “Silver Dagger” a lot this afternoon.
Beyond sad with this news. She was such a bright light that the world feels a little dimmer without her in it. Besides her music, I loved all the good works she did, from the Imagination Library to COVID vaccine research.
My first COVID vaccine came from the company she supported. She was a legend. I don’t like much country music, but I loved hers.
I’m not a big country fan, either, but one of my faves is the Backyard Sessions cover of “Jolene” by Miley Cyrus (who was her goddaughter).
